The best job in the world is being your mummy!

 

I didn’t realise that every time you hurt, that I would hurt ten times more!

I didn’t realise that whenever you looked up at me with that smile and those big brown eyes, it makes my heart just want to explode!

I didn’t realise that you would bring such purpose and validation to my life!

I couldn’t imagine ever having my life without you both and I’m glad that I’m yours and your mine!

Even now at age 7 and 5 years old, I still can’t believe your here!!

Every now and again I pinch myself, sometimes even just that single thought can bring me close to happy tears!

I feel so blessed and so grateful for my title as your mummy for everyday I’m oh so proud, whenever I hear you shout out for me, I smile the widest smile.

You see some people take being a mummy for granted or act like ‘kids’ can sometimes be a burden, get in the way of their careers or social life but I’d rather stay home and have an early night,

and then get up bright and early and go to the park and just sit and watch you play..

Ok that’s a lie, I usually browse on my phone, or take a book or chat with the other mums on the benchies..

but in the background I’ll listen out for your cries or giggles or your constant “watch me do this mummy” demands!!

I usually shout back the same ol same ol of how you need to be careful and come here let me wipe your mucky hands!!

I just want you to know that as I plan for our future and sometimes have to work late.. or I get distracted by my blog or doing the cleaning.. your always ALWAYS my first priority!!

I remember when I was just like you princess saying how “I can’t wait to grow up and be a mummy” and to think I am here, brushing your hair and listening to you say those same words.

I love you so much my beautiful Leshay and Jaray and I hope I make you proud to have you continue to say..

I have the best mummy in the world and I love her to the moon and back again, that’s what I live for Every. Single. Day!!

Holland Park, Kensington & Chelsea

A day in the park is always a good idea!! 


Are you searching for the best park to go to in London? Have you been to Holland Park? It is in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea and it is such a lovely park!

I think the main reason why we enjoyed it so much was because the spring sun was out in full force, it actually felt like a hot summers day as we ventured around the park, kids playing in the adventure park, all of us admiring the extremely huge fishes swimming in the pond in the Kyoto garden and climbing rocks as we walked through the large forest looking pathways.

It really was the perfect chance to relax and have a catch up with my friend whilst our children felt free to let loose and have lots of fun exploring the park with their little energetic selves!



This summer I plan to explore all of the different parks that are in London, because as much as I love our days out at places like Kidzania or The London Sea Life Aquarium I also love to have play dates and picnics at a park with friends and so far Holland Park is high up on my list!
