Layonie Jae's Homemade Egg Shampoo review!
Ok so when I heard about this I just HAD to try it! I’m not usually the experimental type, I prefer convenience, just pick up a tub and go kinda girl but I was really curious about this and couldn’t wait to try it!

Here’s what I used:

Eggs for Layonie Jae's homemade egg shampoo Ingredients for Layonie Jae's Egg Shampoo

  • 3 eggs (using only the egg yoke)
  • 1 tea spoon of honey
  • 2 tea spoons of olive oil

And whisked it all up in a cup with my folk until it was of a nice creamy texture, then I was all set to go!

After wetting my hair I applied the egg mixture. For some reason I was still kind of expecting my hair to lather up like it usually would with actual shampoo but it didn’t however I still massaged the egg mixture into my hair as I normally would. Apparently the egg mixture is also suppose to act as a conditioner too so I left it in my hair for a few more minutes before giving my hair a thorough rinse! Usually after I shampoo I always use conditioner (but for this review, I decided not to).

At first it felt funny and sticky when I rinsed it all out but I’m not sure if this was actually the case or just my imagination playing tricks on me but after I towelled dried my hair it was surprisingly clean. Seriously it works! I’m impressed!

I planned to spend the day at home so after applying some TRESemme 24 Hour Body amplififying mousse I allowed my hair to air dry naturally. And the next day I was still very happy with how my hair felt!

Would I use my homemade egg shampoo again..?
Yes probably! It wouldn’t be a regular part of my routine but yes I would!! And I’d try it with slightly different or more ingredients next time (as I did come across a few online).
So there you go! Homemade egg shampoo.. Will you be giving it a try….?

Blog, Hair, Hair Care

Can you imagine? I am infact talking about my dear grandma!!

My grandma is 76 years old and has never ever applied colour to her hair and has never allowed anyone else to either!! Their are so many people that are half of her age, using all kind of colours to disguise their grey hairs but my grandma proudly presents herself to the world with her ALL NATURAL hair colour.

I love it!!
