The Power Of A Dress

Fashion, H&M, Mindset, shopping

I recently had abit of retail therapy at H&M and I treated myself to a couple of dresses (and some jumpers and jewellery but you can see more of them over on my H&M Haul & Try On video) but what I really wanted to talk about in this post is my dresses.

It is amazing how fabulous you can feel, by simply wearing a dress! I have never had a long shirt dress before (I don’t think that I have anyway…) but I had been having a browse through Pinterest and noticed how I had added many long dresses to my ‘Love The Look’ board that I decided to buy some for myself.

This dress makes me feel elegant, pretty and happy!

This dress makes me feel strong, powerful and sexy!

And it goes so nicely with my new Teddy Coat that I got from Marks and Spencer!! (I was merrily window shopping when I took this pic by the way, I can’t say that I actually own this bag…. oh how I wish I did though!!)

This dress makes me feel successful, powerful and in control!

Do you think that this is silly? I mean.. can a dress really make you feel this way.. hmm the truth is that they have made me feel this way or maybe I felt that way already or these dresses just gave me some kind of permission to embrace my alter ego a little...

Is there a type of dress that you ever wear that gives you that ego boost and has you feeling a certain way?

Do you agree that as women we should celebrate ourselves every now and again instead of always having to be modest and play our feelings down?

I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below and as always thank you to anyone who has passed through and read this blog post. I intend to post a lot more on here from now 🥰

Enjoy the rest of your day!
